Pessimism and spite. Our optimism can often be corrupted by these traits as we experience days of doubt and despair for the future. These thoughts have a way of creeping into our heads unannounced, much like a snake will creep up on its prey. If our negative thoughts grow too strong, our light might be sucked from us, like a blackhole sucks the light from a star. However negative thoughts do not last forever.
